Townie Magazine is having a launch party on December 2nd for their first ever print issue where you'll be able to grab a copy!

They've got some sexy and talented local bands lined up, opening with Nothing Happened Here (nothinghappenedhere_music on Instagram), followed by an intro to the magazine by Townie's writers and finally the headliner Kings of our Kin (kingsofourkin on Instagram).

Townie's first issue is all about Toronto's muralists. Featuring interviews with the artists themselves, the mag is studded head to toe with their own art in the gorgeous print medium! The writers wanted to contextualize the Muralist community within those who create this city's culture through their art and engagement with local communities and understand their passions, struggles and their pillars of support.

Townie is an independently funded magazine with a diverse and stylish selection of writers and artists, we write about everyday residents and their contribution to the city within the intersection of culture, community & power. We're super excited to be showcasing what our first issue has to offer, so we hope you will come celebrate!
